Authors should read the aims and scope before submission. Manuscripts must be original and not under review elsewhere.
Describe reagents, purity, quantities, apparatus, reaction conditions, controls, calibration, uncertainty, statistical analysis and safety precautions in enough detail for assessment. New compounds require appropriate structural characterization and spectra. Report yields and selectivity transparently.
Include a Data Availability Statement and deposit spectra, crystallographic data, computational inputs and code in suitable repositories where practical. State hazards, waste handling and institutional approvals for regulated work.
Provide a separate title page and anonymized manuscript for double-blind review. Disclose funding, competing interests, author contributions and material AI use.
Online submissions are temporarily closed while JCI completes its editorial setup.
