Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

The manuscript is original, has not been published previously and is not under consideration by another journal.
The submission fits the CMJ aims and scope and states its mathematical and computational contribution clearly.
A separate title page and an anonymized manuscript have been prepared for double-blind review.
Assumptions, notation, proofs, algorithms, numerical methods, benchmarks and error or convergence evidence are reported sufficiently for assessment.
Code, data, software versions, computational parameters, licences and reproducibility information are provided or any restrictions are explained.
Funding, competing interests, author contributions and material AI-tool use are disclosed where applicable.

Author Guidelines

Authors should read the aims and scope before submission. Manuscripts must be original, clearly written and not under review elsewhere.

Mathematical reporting

State the problem, assumptions, notation and contribution precisely. Distinguish established results from new theorems, algorithms or computations. Proofs must be logically complete, and numerical methods should include consistency, stability, convergence or error analysis where applicable.

Computational experiments

Describe algorithms, discretization, stopping criteria, parameter choices, hardware, software, precision and benchmark problems sufficiently for assessment. Compare with appropriate methods, report computational cost and uncertainty, and avoid conclusions unsupported by the tested regimes.

Code, data and reproducibility

Include a Code and Data Availability Statement. Deposit source code, scripts, input data, meshes, parameter files and reproducibility instructions in a stable repository where possible. Identify software versions, libraries, licences and access restrictions.

Review files

Provide a separate title page and anonymized manuscript for double-blind review. Disclose funding, competing interests, author contributions and material use of generative AI.

Submission status

Online submissions are temporarily closed while CMJ completes its editorial setup.

Privacy Statement

Computational Mathematics Journal (CMJ) respects the privacy of authors, reviewers, editors, readers and registered users. The journal may collect names, affiliations, contact details, ORCID iDs, account information, submission and review records, correspondence and technical logs needed to operate and secure the journal.

Use and confidentiality

Information is used to manage editorial work, publish accepted articles and metadata, maintain the scholarly record and meet ethical or legal obligations. Access to non-public material is limited to authorized people who require it for journal operations.

Research data

Authors must remove personal, confidential or restricted information that they are not authorized to publish. Computational datasets derived from people, institutions or protected sources must be handled according to consent, ethics, licences and applicable law.

Sharing, retention and security

CMJ does not sell personal information. Limited data may be processed by hosting, DOI, indexing, preservation, email or security services required to run the journal. Editorial records may be retained to document decisions and preserve research integrity.
