Publication Ethics

GPS expects accurate reporting, responsible research, fair attribution, independent review and careful maintenance of the scholarly record.

Author responsibilities

Authors must submit original work, represent evidence and opposing positions fairly, disclose funding and competing interests, protect participants and sources, obtain required approvals and correct significant errors. Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication and false attribution are unacceptable.

Editors and reviewers

Editors assess manuscripts on scholarly merit and relevance without discrimination based on political viewpoint or identity. Reviewers must provide constructive, confidential and unbiased advice and disclose conflicts.

Concerns

Credible concerns are assessed using the manuscript record, underlying evidence and responses from affected parties. GPS may publish a correction, expression of concern or retraction when needed.
