Authors should read the aims and scope before submission. Manuscripts must be original, clearly written and not under review elsewhere.
State the engineering problem, requirements, assumptions, governing principles and contribution. Describe materials, geometry, boundary and initial conditions, apparatus, sensors, calibration, sampling, controls, numerical methods, mesh or time-step convergence, validation and uncertainty. Use SI units and define all symbols.
Compare proposed methods or designs with appropriate baselines, theory, standards or prior systems. Report repeatability, error, sensitivity, failure modes, operating limits and practical constraints. Computational work should include verification and validation; experimental work should document test conditions and measurement uncertainty.
Include a Data and Code Availability Statement. Deposit datasets, code, CAD or model files and supporting documentation where permissions allow. Identify applicable engineering standards, laboratory and field safety procedures, approvals and risk controls. Do not omit information needed to evaluate hazards responsibly.
Provide a separate title page and anonymized manuscript for double-blind review. Disclose funding, competing interests, author contributions and material use of generative AI.
Online submissions are temporarily closed while JED completes its editorial setup.
Journal of Engineering Dynamics (JED) respects the privacy of authors, reviewers, editors, readers, research participants and registered users. The journal may collect names, affiliations, contact details, ORCID iDs, account information, submission and review records, correspondence and technical logs needed to operate and secure the journal.
Information is used to manage editorial work, publish accepted articles and metadata, maintain the scholarly record and meet ethical or legal obligations. Access to non-public material is limited to authorized people who require it for journal operations.
Authors must remove personal or sensitive information that they are not authorized to publish. Human-participant data, precise locations of threatened species and other restricted biological information must be handled according to consent, ethics, conservation and legal requirements.
JED does not sell personal information. Limited data may be processed by hosting, DOI, indexing, preservation, email or security services required to run the journal.
