Earth Systems and Geoscience (ESG) is a quarterly, online-only, peer-reviewed journal for research on the solid Earth, surface processes, oceans, atmosphere and their interactions.

ESG publishes original research articles, reviews, methods papers, data and modelling papers, field reports and short communications in geology, geophysics, geochemistry, geomorphology, hydrology, soil science, ocean and atmospheric science, climate dynamics, natural hazards, remote sensing and Earth-system modelling.

Manuscripts should define the scientific question clearly, document field, laboratory or modelling methods transparently, quantify uncertainty, and make data and analytical workflows available where possible. Articles are freely available under CC BY 4.0, with no submission fee or article processing charge.
