Journal of Applied Economic Intelligence (JAEI) is a quarterly, online-only, peer-reviewed journal for rigorous, evidence-led research on economic behaviour, institutions, markets and public policy.

JAEI publishes original research articles, reviews, methods and data papers, policy evaluations, research notes and short communications in applied microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, development, labour, public, environmental, health, agricultural, financial and regional economics.

The journal welcomes careful use of administrative data, surveys, experiments, causal inference, forecasting, simulation, machine learning and decision-support methods when they illuminate a substantive economic question. Authors should report assumptions, uncertainty, robustness and limitations transparently. Articles are freely available under CC BY 4.0, with no submission fee or article processing charge.
