Authorship and Contributions

Authorship is reserved for people who made a substantial contribution to the conception, study design, data collection, system development, analysis, interpretation or writing; approved the submitted version; and accept responsibility for the work.

The corresponding author must provide a contribution statement, confirm that all authors agree to submission and disclose any requested authorship change. Librarians, archivists, developers, data stewards and research assistants who do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged with permission.

AI tools cannot be authors.
