Research Ethics and Biosafety

Research involving humans, animals, field collection, pathogens, genetically modified organisms or hazardous biological material must comply with applicable ethical, biosafety and legal requirements.

Human participants

State the approving ethics body, approval identifier and consent process. Protect privacy and explain any restriction on participant-level data.

Animal research

Report institutional approval, species and strain, welfare measures, humane endpoints and steps taken to reduce animal use and suffering.

Fieldwork and biodiversity

Provide collection, access, export or protected-species permits where required. Sensitive locality data may be restricted to protect threatened organisms.

Biosafety

Work with pathogens, toxins, recombinant organisms or regulated material must use appropriate containment and institutional oversight.
