About the Journal

Biotechnology Frontiers (BF) is an English-language, online-only, quarterly, peer-reviewed and open-access journal for biotechnology research and innovation.

BF publishes experimental, computational and engineering work in molecular and cellular biotechnology, microbial and industrial biotechnology, plant and agricultural biotechnology, environmental biotechnology, synthetic biology, bioprocessing and bioinformatics.

Submissions should define the problem, report methods and controls clearly, validate technological claims, address relevant ethical and biosafety requirements, and distinguish demonstrated performance from future application. Published articles are available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence.

BF uses Open Journal Systems (OJS) for submission and editorial management.

BF is published quarterly in March, June, September and December by Shodh Publishing, Piri Bazar, District Lakhisarai, Bihar 811112, India.

BF charges authors no submission fee, article processing charge (APC), page charge, colour charge or publication fee.
