Biotechnology Frontiers (BF) is a quarterly, online-only, peer-reviewed journal for research and innovation in biotechnology.

The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, methods papers, technology reports and short communications in molecular and cellular biotechnology, microbial and industrial biotechnology, plant and agricultural biotechnology, environmental biotechnology, synthetic biology, bioprocess engineering, bioinformatics and related enabling technologies.

Manuscripts should define the biological or technological problem, describe materials, controls and processes clearly, report performance with appropriate comparison, and discuss limitations, biosafety and practical relevance. Published articles are freely available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence. BF does not charge submission fees or article processing charges.
