AI, Synthetic Images and Disclosure

Authors must disclose material use of generative AI in research, writing, translation, coding, image restoration, enhancement or image creation. AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

Synthetic or substantially AI-generated images must be labelled clearly and must not be presented as documentary evidence. Authors remain responsible for accuracy, bias, consent, provenance and rights. Undisclosed fabrication or deceptive alteration is grounds for rejection or correction.
