International Journal of Botanical Sciences (IJBS) is a quarterly, online-only, peer-reviewed journal for research across the plant sciences.

The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, methods papers, taxonomic treatments, field studies and short communications in plant taxonomy and systematics, morphology and anatomy, physiology, ecology, genetics, evolution, ethnobotany, conservation, palaeobotany and related fields.

Manuscripts should state a clear botanical question, document plant material and methods accurately, use accepted nomenclature, provide voucher or sequence information where relevant, and draw conclusions supported by the evidence. Published articles are freely available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence. IJBS does not charge submission fees or article processing charges.
