About the Journal
Shodh Journal of Geographical Studies (JGS) is a quarterly, online-only, peer-reviewed journal for research on places, environments, societies and spatial relationships.
JGS publishes original research articles, reviews and syntheses, GIS and remote-sensing studies, field and survey research, regional and planning analyses, data papers, research notes and short communications across human geography, physical geography and geospatial science.
Manuscripts should define the geographical question, study area and scale clearly, report field and spatial methods transparently, represent places and communities responsibly, document uncertainty, and explain how the findings contribute beyond a single location. Articles are freely available under CC BY 4.0, with no submission fee or article processing charge.
