About the Journal

Global Animal Research (GAR) is an English-language, online-only, quarterly, peer-reviewed and open-access journal dedicated to advancing research across animal science and veterinary science.

The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, short communications, veterinary case reports and technical articles covering animal health and welfare, veterinary medicine, nutrition, genetics and breeding, reproduction, behaviour, livestock production systems, One Health, wildlife health and conservation. GAR welcomes scientifically sound research relevant to researchers, veterinarians, academicians, students, livestock professionals and policymakers.

GAR is committed to transparent editorial practices, ethical research, responsible peer review and the dissemination of scholarly work without subscription barriers. Published articles are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence.
