Article types

  • Original Research Article: complete experimental, observational, clinical or field research.
  • Review Article: a critical synthesis of evidence; systematic reviews must report a reproducible method.
  • Short Communication: a concise, focused finding supported by adequate methods and evidence.
  • Veterinary Case Report or Case Series: a clinically important and adequately documented case with required consent.
  • Methods or Technical Article: a validated method, protocol, tool or technical improvement relevant to GAR.

Files for double-blind review

Required declarations

The manuscript must state ethics approval or justified exemption, consent where applicable, conflicts of interest, funding, author contributions, data availability and material use of generative AI. Animal studies must provide the approving body and approval identifier when available.

Originality and permissions

The manuscript must not be published or under consideration elsewhere. Authors must cite reused material and obtain permission for copyrighted figures, tables or substantial extracts that are not covered by a permitted licence.
