Research involving people, workplaces, customers, communities or non-public organisational information must comply with applicable ethics, consent, privacy and legal requirements.
State the approving ethics body where required and explain informed consent, recruitment and protection from workplace or reputational harm. Avoid coercion where managers or employers assist recruitment.
Explain how access was obtained, who funded or commissioned the work, and whether an organisation reviewed the manuscript. Permission to enter an organisation does not replace participant consent or scholarly independence.
Remove personal and commercially sensitive information unless publication is authorized and justified. Disguise identities carefully and acknowledge when details are altered.
