Authorship and Contributions

Authorship is reserved for people who made a substantial contribution to the conception, research, textual or archival analysis, interpretation or writing; approved the submitted version; and accept responsibility for the work.

The corresponding author must provide a contribution statement, confirm that all authors agree to submission and disclose any requested authorship change. Translators, archivists, research assistants and others who do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged with permission.

AI tools cannot be authors.
