World Literature Review (WLR) is a quarterly, online-only, peer-reviewed journal for rigorous scholarship on literature across languages, regions, periods and cultural traditions.

WLR publishes original research articles, comparative and transnational studies, literary theory and criticism, translation and reception studies, archival and textual scholarship, digital humanities research, review essays and short communications. The journal welcomes work on established, emergent, Indigenous, diasporic and underrepresented literary traditions.

Manuscripts should present a clear argument, work closely and responsibly with primary texts, identify editions and translations accurately, engage relevant scholarship and explain the wider significance of the contribution. Articles are freely available under CC BY 4.0, with no submission fee or article processing charge.
