Authors retain copyright in work published by JASF. On acceptance, they grant the journal the non-exclusive rights needed to publish, distribute and preserve the version of record.

Unless a different notice appears on an article, JASF uses the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). The licence permits copying and adaptation, including commercial reuse, provided the original work is properly credited, the licence is linked and any changes are identified.

Third-party material

Authors must identify material owned by another person or organization and obtain permission when the proposed use is not covered by law or an existing licence. Any separate restriction must be stated in the caption or credit line.

Author sharing

Authors may deposit submitted, accepted and published versions in lawful repositories or academic websites. The published version should carry the complete citation and a link to the journal record.
