ASAS publishes work that advances knowledge of the Universe, the space environment and the instruments and methods used to study them.

Areas of interest

• Solar physics, heliophysics and space weather
• Planetary science, small bodies, planetary atmospheres and astrobiology
• Stellar astronomy, compact objects and exoplanets
• Galactic and extragalactic astronomy
• Cosmology, gravitation and high-energy astrophysics
• Radio, optical, infrared, ultraviolet, X-ray and gamma-ray astronomy
• Space plasma physics and magnetospheric science
• Astronomical instrumentation, observatories, missions, surveys and data methods
• Computational astrophysics, simulations, catalogues and scientific software

A submission should present a clear scientific question, an appropriate method and a result of interest beyond a single unvalidated observation. Routine parameter estimates, unsupported speculation and manuscripts outside astronomy or space science are not suitable.
