Complaints and Appeals

Questions or complaints about editorial conduct, peer review, ethics or published content should be sent to the official ASAS contact address with the manuscript or article identifier and a clear account of the concern.

An appeal must identify a specific factual error, overlooked evidence or procedural problem. Disagreement with a scientific judgment alone is not sufficient. Appeals are considered by an editor who was not responsible for the original decision where practical.

The journal will acknowledge a substantive complaint, review available records, seek responses when appropriate and communicate an outcome. Retaliation against a person who raises a concern in good faith is not acceptable.
