About the Journal

Music and Performing Arts Review (MPAR) is an English-language, quarterly, peer-reviewed, open-access journal for research and critical inquiry across music, theatre, dance, performance and related creative practices.

MPAR welcomes historically grounded, theoretically informed, ethnographic, analytical and practice-based work on performance, composition, interpretation, production, pedagogy, technology, communities and cultural contexts.

MPAR uses Open Journal Systems (OJS) for submission and editorial management.

MPAR is published quarterly in March, June, September and December by Shodh Publishing, Piri Bazar, District Lakhisarai, Bihar 811112, India.

MPAR charges authors no submission fee, article processing charge (APC), page charge, colour charge or publication fee.
