About the Journal

Global Journal of Architectural Innovation (GJAI) is a peer-reviewed journal concerned with architecture as a field of design, technical knowledge, cultural inquiry and public responsibility. It publishes work on buildings, interiors, settlements and urban systems, including the processes by which they are conceived, made, occupied, evaluated and adapted.

The journal welcomes empirical research, design research, historical and theoretical inquiry, post-occupancy studies, technical investigations and carefully documented case studies. Design work must be presented as research: the manuscript should state its question, context, method, evidence and contribution rather than serve as a project portfolio or promotional account.

Editorial assessment

Editors first consider relevance to the journal, the clarity of the research question, the adequacy of the evidence and the completeness of ethical and professional declarations. Manuscripts that pass this stage are assessed through double-blind peer review by specialists in the relevant area.
