Global Agricultural Innovations (GAI) requires agricultural, field and laboratory research to be conducted responsibly and in accordance with applicable institutional, national and international requirements.
Authors must identify relevant ethics approvals, field-access permissions, collection permits, biosafety authorizations and regulatory permissions. Approval or permit identifiers should be reported when available.
Research involving people, personal information, traditional knowledge or animals must receive appropriate ethical review and consent. Animal research must follow recognized welfare standards and report the approving body.
Work involving genetically modified organisms, regulated pests, pathogens, pesticides, protected species or sensitive locations must comply with applicable law, containment requirements and responsible reporting practices.
Editors may request supporting documentation, seek specialist advice or reject work when approvals, consent, permits or safeguards are absent or inadequate.
