Corrections, Retractions and Withdrawal

Global Agricultural Innovations (GAI) distinguishes withdrawal before publication from retraction after publication. Actions are taken to protect participants, communities, environments and readers and the integrity of the scholarly record.

Article Withdrawal Policy

The corresponding author may request withdrawal before acceptance by writing to the editorial office, explaining the reason and confirming agreement from all authors. The journal may also withdraw a submission for duplicate submission, serious ethical concerns, legal risk or inability to verify authorship.

Withdrawal After Acceptance

Withdrawal after acceptance is strongly discouraged and will be considered individually, particularly where major error, authorship dispute, legal restriction or ethical concern prevents responsible publication. GAI does not use withdrawal fees as a substitute for ethical assessment.

Article Retraction Policy

A published article may be retracted when its findings are unreliable or when serious misconduct or legal defects substantially undermine the work.

Grounds for Retraction

• Fabrication, falsification or material manipulation
• Plagiarism or duplicate publication
• Major error invalidating the results or conclusions
• Unethical agricultural research or missing required approval
• Manipulated peer review or authorship
• Undisclosed conflict that materially affected the work
• Copyright infringement or binding legal requirement

Retraction Procedure

GAI will assess evidence, give affected authors a reasonable opportunity to respond and seek institutional or expert advice where appropriate. A retraction notice will identify the article and explain the reason. The article will normally remain accessible but be clearly marked as retracted.

Corrections and Errata

Errors that do not invalidate the central findings may be addressed through a correction, corrigendum or erratum linked to the article.

Expression of Concern

GAI may publish an expression of concern when credible serious questions remain unresolved, an investigation is incomplete or institutional findings are unavailable.

Author Responsibilities

Authors must promptly report significant errors and cooperate with post-publication enquiries.

Editorial Responsibility

Cases will be handled fairly, confidentially and without unnecessary delay. Commercial considerations will not prevent an appropriate notice.

Preservation of the Scholarly Record

Notices and publication history will remain permanently linked so readers can identify the status of the work.
