Publication Frequency and Format

Global Agricultural Innovations (GAI) publishes peer-reviewed research in agronomy, crop and soil science, water management, plant health, breeding, biotechnology, agricultural engineering, precision agriculture, agroecology, postharvest systems and related fields.

Publication Schedule

GAI follows a quarterly publication schedule with four issues each calendar year:

  • Issue 1: March
  • Issue 2: June
  • Issue 3: September
  • Issue 4: December

An issue may include original research articles, reviews, short communications, methods and technical articles and other contributions within the journal scope that have completed editorial and peer review.

Continuous Submission

Manuscripts may be submitted throughout the year. Submission date does not guarantee placement in a particular issue.

Online First Publication

GAI may publish an accepted article online before assigning it to a scheduled issue when complete citation details and a permanent article record can be provided.

Special Issues

Special issues or thematic collections may be published in addition to regular issues. They are subject to the same authorship, peer-review, conflict-of-interest and research-ethics requirements.

Publication Timeline

The journal targets initial screening in approximately 3–5 working days and external review in approximately 2–4 weeks after reviewer acceptance. Actual times depend on subject expertise, revisions and ethical or technical queries. No acceptance or publication date is guaranteed.

Commitment to Timely Publication

If the schedule changes, GAI will announce the change transparently and will update this policy rather than publishing misleading frequency claims.
