Publication Ethics

Global Agricultural Innovations (GAI) is committed to ethical, transparent and accountable scholarly publishing. Authors, reviewers, editors and the publisher share responsibility for protecting environmental stewardship, research participants and the reliability of the academic record.

Duties of Authors

• Submit original work that is not under consideration elsewhere.
• Report methods and results accurately and retain underlying records.
• Give authorship only to substantial contributors and obtain approval from all authors.
• Cite sources appropriately and disclose funding and competing interests.
• Identify relevant limitations and promptly report serious errors.
• Obtain and report all required ethical approvals, permits and consent.

Research Ethics, Permits and Biosafety

Research involving people, traditional knowledge, regulated organisms or controlled field activities must have prior approval from the appropriate research ethics, biosafety or regulatory authority, or a documented lawful exemption. Authors must identify the approving body and approval number where available, comply with applicable national and institutional requirements, apply the principles of replacement, reduction and refinement, and describe containment, environmental safeguards, handling procedures and disposal controls where relevant. Field collection, protected-species and environmental research require applicable permits. Research involving farms, communities, personal information or traditional knowledge must protect privacy and document landholder, participant or community consent where appropriate.

Plagiarism Policy

GAI may use similarity screening and editorial investigation. Plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated citations and deceptive text or data reuse may result in rejection or post-publication action.

Duties of Reviewers

• Review objectively, constructively and within the agreed time.
• Maintain confidentiality and never use unpublished information.
• Declare conflicts and decline when impartiality is compromised.
• Alert editors to suspected ethical problems or relevant uncited work.

Duties of Editors

• Evaluate work without discrimination and protect confidentiality.
• Base decisions on merit, scope, ethics and reviewer evidence.
• Recuse themselves when conflicted.
• Investigate credible concerns and preserve the scholarly record.

Conflict of Interest

All participants must disclose relevant financial, professional, institutional or personal interests. Conflicts will be managed through disclosure, recusal or reassignment.

Data Integrity and Research Misconduct

GAI does not tolerate fabrication, falsification, deceptive image manipulation, misrepresentation of sample numbers, treatments or outcomes, citation manipulation, peer-review manipulation or other research misconduct. Raw data or approvals may be requested when concerns arise.

Retraction Policy

Unreliable or unethical publications may be corrected, marked with an expression of concern or retracted after fair assessment.

Corrections and Errata

Material errors will be corrected transparently through a notice linked to the article. Changes will not be made silently.

Ethical Oversight

Complaints and allegations will be assessed on evidence. GAI may seek advice from institutions, ethics committees or subject experts and will give affected parties a reasonable opportunity to respond.

Commitment to Ethical Publishing

Acceptance is never guaranteed. Editorial independence, environmental stewardship and the integrity of the record take priority over speed, fees or commercial considerations.
